You have the opportunity to bid in for and decide how up to a total of £15,000 should be spent to improve your area. Local people deciding how and where money should be spent.
Let’s Make Cupar Thrive! You Decide! – Cupar Ward 20
Based on the new Plan for Fife, we are looking for community groups, voluntary organisations and local people to develop Projects / Ideas which will:
- Make Cupar area a thriving place where people can live long, happy and fulfilling lives
- Reduce inequalities
- Support projects which help people become more active or improve their health and wellbeing
- Make Cupar a place where people feel they belong to their community, enjoy their environment and have access to open spaces and/ or community facilities.
We are particularly interested in applications from groups that tackle social isolation and/or working with people experiencing mental health issues. Projects have to meet the above criteria to progress to the voting phase.
Who can apply?
Community groups and/or voluntary organisations from Cupar area. The Community Education Workers from the North East Fife CLD Team will help and support interested people, who aren’t members of community groups, to develop and cost their Projects or Ideas.
Applications need to be submitted by Friday 17th August 2018.

What happens next?
There will be a public voting event held in Cupar YMCA/YWCA on 1st September. At these events, people will have the chance to promote their Project or Idea to others. Then members of the public will vote to decidewhich Projects/Ideas get the funding – in other words – how and where the money should be spent.
