Profile

Fife College delivers learning across Fife through education and training to over 20,000 students.  It provides high-quality educational programmes with strong links to employability and life-long professional and personal development.  As an employer Fife College is highly committed to providing a positive working environment and rewarding careers for all colleagues and staff.

Living Wage Accreditation

Fife College firmly believes that by paying employees the living wage individual lives are enhanced and local and national economies are strengthened.

Fife College became accredited by Living Wage Scotland in September 2017 and continues to celebrate and promote its accreditation. By becoming accredited, Fife College seeks to demonstrate its commitment to the Living Wage initiative by ensuring all colleagues and employees are treated well and paid fairly for the job they do.  Living Wage accreditation also enables the college to set an example for other organisations and encourages them to become accredited as well.

Zelda Franklin-Hills, Director: Organisational Development and Human Resources said: “We are convinced that paying the living wage makes employees feel valued and respected. Not only do we want our own staff to feel appreciated, we want to help lead the way for other businesses.  As one of Fife’s largest organisations we are setting a good example not just for employers but also for our students, many of whom will be the employers of the future. We also recognise that many of our students work part-time while studying and they too should benefit from fair pay and good working conditions.”
