Following a motion passed by the Cowdenbeath Area Committee in February 2024, an extensive consultation was carried out in September and October 2024 to gather public feedback on the future of key services and facilities in Lochgelly.
We began with a survey where local residents and organisations had a chance to share their ideas on how spaces like Lochgelly Centre, St Andrews Church and Lochgelly Town Hall should be used in the years ahead.

In addition to the survey, in partnership Deciding Matters, the consultation also provided local residents with a platform to voice their ideas and priorities for Lochgelly’s future. Fife Council remains committed to working closely with the Lochgelly community to bring positive change following the Let’s Talk About Lochgelly consultation.
