Experts have long been telling us how important a child’s early years’ experiences are to their future mental and physical health, and "50 Things to do before you're 5" is an initiative which was launched in Fife, in August 2023 on National Play Day highlighting a whole range of games, activities and outings for families of young children to enjoy, all at no or low cost.

Climate Action Fife's campaign to encourage more people in Fife to cycle safely on the roads to shops, commuting to work and travelling to school or college. We will also offer our free safety check for your bike through Dr. Bike to make minor adjustments and diagnose any technical maintenance or repair needed.

Mindfulness is about slowing down, being fully present in the moment and appreciating the world through enhanced senses. Those exact same words can be used to describe the process of making photographs. In this activity we will connect with the natural space and through photography, capture and harness the wellbeing boosting benefits of spending time in the woods.

Interactive workshops for children aged 5-10 years will be held in The Glasshouses and will include building "Bug Hotels" and "Bird Boxes" which they can paint them and take them home. (max of 80 each)
The Sustainability team at the College will run a Swap Shop and encourage people to bring donations on the day

Mobile unit with games relating to stopping smoking – skittles, Jenga etc. The team will be available to discuss health benefits of stopping smoking and carry our CO tests on site to see what CO is in your lungs.
